Yes I know they are real heavy, Let me give you a tip when you want to move them make sure the drivers aren't on them they are a lot easier to move around without the drivers.I have a pair of 1005A's they are a little smaller than the 1003's but still heavy as heck.

I thought about taking the drivers off, but they don't weigh that much (30lb) relative to the total weight of the horn (must be about 150-200lb each).
It's not too bad with two guys, I had a neighbor help me get them out of the truck when I bought them, but there was no way we could get them upstairs. I've since moved and I had the moving guys get them into the right room, now I just need to swap them out for the MR-64's, but I'm not strong enough to do that by myself with injury.
The story goes that these came out of Union train station in CO.

Actually I think they are, my 1005's are around 70 Lbs. with drivers close to 100 but they are bulky a hundred pound bulky object is something you have to wrestle with.
But they sound Fabulous and worth every broken knuckle, scrape, and bruise to get them in place.
One of the best pair of horns I ever bought !!!!

Well curiosity got the better of me so I put them on the bathroom scale. I didn't want to stand them completely on their end in case I damaged the horn. Anyway I got 138lb and that was with me still holding about 20-30lb of weight.
Hope it's worth the weight (and the wait) when I finally get them hooked up. In all honestly the MR-64's sound amazing so there is not a lot of motivation to experiment with these.
